Mainstream EDM has, in my opinion, been infected by somewhat under skilled copycat EDM producers. They can’t be classified as trance producers either as it is simply not trance. I say this with respect to my peers but unfortunately it is true. Too many tracks are being rushed through the process with limited connection and 3 Chord choruses and unfortunately even the big names have allowed these sounds to penetrate their sets. All for a quick buck!? It is just a phase in my opinion, hopefully, and my duty as a producer and in respect to myself, is to always write music with emotional output….otherwise why do music at all.
